Housecall Pro includes a customer referral program in its customer portal. If you already pay for Housecall Pro, it costs nothing extra. Simple Referral works on its own and emails each customer their link directly. You can start free, and Pro is $39 a month.

Housecall Pro
- The referral program has no separate price.
- It needs a Housecall Pro plan. Basic is $79 a month, or $59 billed yearly.
- Online booking must be turned on for the program to appear.
- A year of Basic billed yearly costs $708.
Simple Referral
- The free plan includes one campaign and up to 50 referrers.
- Pro is $39 a month. It removes the campaign limit and the referrer cap.
- A year of Pro costs $468.
- No other software is needed.
If you already pay for Housecall Pro, its referral program costs nothing extra. Simple Referral makes sense if you want every customer asked directly, or if you don't use Housecall Pro.
Where Simple Referral is different
Every customer gets asked
Housecall Pro places the referral link inside the customer portal. Customers see it when they visit the portal. Simple Referral emails each customer their own link, so everyone on your list gets asked.
No booking setup required
Housecall Pro's program only appears if online booking is on, and referred friends land on your booking page. Simple Referral works whether or not you take bookings online.
Stays with you if you switch software
If you leave Housecall Pro, its referral program goes with it. Simple Referral keeps running no matter what you use to book jobs.
When Housecall Pro is the better choice
Your customers already use the portal
If customers log in to pay invoices and check appointments, they will see the referral link often. At no extra cost, that is a good place to start.
You want referrals tracked automatically
When a referred friend books, Housecall Pro shows who sent them on the customer profile. Simple Referral asks you to update each referral yourself.
You want one less tool
If Housecall Pro runs your whole business, keeping referrals there means one less login.
What Simple Referral doesn’t do
- Simple Referral does not connect to Housecall Pro today. You update each referral yourself.
- Simple Referral rewards the referrer only. The new customer does not get a reward today.
- Simple Referral does not collect reviews or send marketing emails.
