Jobber Referrals, and when a standalone tool makes more sense

Jobber Referrals is a referral program built into Jobber. It is a good fit if you already run your business on Jobber. Simple Referral works on its own, with or without any booking software. You can start free, and Pro is $39 a month.

Jobber Referrals

  • Jobber's help center lists Referrals as a $29 a month add-on.
  • Jobber's pricing page lists Referrals only as part of Marketing Suite, at $99 a month.
  • Marketing Suite is included on the Plus plan, which starts at $399 a month billed yearly.
  • You also need a Jobber plan. Core starts at $29 a month billed yearly, or $49 with no commitment.
  • A year of Referrals alone adds $348 to your Jobber bill.

Simple Referral

  • The free plan includes one campaign and up to 50 referrers.
  • Pro is $39 a month. It removes the campaign limit and the referrer cap.
  • A year of Pro costs $468.
  • No other software is needed.

If you already pay for Jobber, its $29 add-on costs $120 less per year than Simple Referral Pro. If you don't use Jobber, Simple Referral is the cheaper way to run referrals.

Where Simple Referral is different

Works with any booking software, or none

Jobber Referrals only works inside Jobber. Simple Referral runs on its own. It fits businesses on other software, on paper, or on nothing at all.

Marketing Suite is included on Plus, so referrals are already in your plan. Use them before adding another tool.

You want reviews and email campaigns too

Marketing Suite bundles referrals with review requests and email campaigns. If you want all three, the suite may be worth it.

What Simple Referral doesn’t do

  • Simple Referral does not connect to Jobber today. You track referred jobs yourself.
  • Simple Referral rewards the referrer only. The new customer does not get a reward today.
  • Simple Referral does not collect reviews or send marketing emails.

How it works

  1. Create a campaign and choose the reward your customers earn.
  2. Import your customer list.
  3. Each customer gets an email with their own referral link.
  4. Friends use the link to reach you, and you see who sent them.
  5. You reward the customer who made the referral.
